Director, HR Business Partner Project Engineering

As an HR Business Partner at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in driving the HR strategy and initiatives for our organization. You will partner with business leaders to provide strategic HR guidance and support, ensuring the alignment of HR programs with business objectives. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of our company and the development of our employees. You will report directly to our HR VP for Global Engineering, and you'll work out of our headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the organization by driving organizational effectiveness initiatives and talent strategy for the Project Engineering function in partnership with the Business HR organization. You will also provide coaching and guidance to leadership on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive talent strategy for Project Engineering function through creation and management of a cross-business People Council
  • Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives
  • Drive talent management efforts, including skill assessments, career pathing, talent sharing initiatives
  • Support employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures
  • Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends and recommend solutions for continuous improvement
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 10+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Excellent change management, communication and interpersonal skills, including creation and delivery of executive presentations
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders in a heavily matrixed environment
WE VALUE
  • Master's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP, PHR)
  • Experience in a global or matrixed organization
  • Change management experience
  • Data-driven mindset and ability to analyze HR metrics
  • Experience supporting a Project Engineering organization
  • Talent Management experience
