Position Title : Technical Recruiter

Location: Houston, TX 

Assignment Type: Contract

Compensation : $40 - $48 / Hour

Work Schedul e: Monday–Friday, 8-5 pm

Overview:

We’re seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter to manage hiring across a variety of skilled roles. This position is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, guiding candidates through the process, and partnering closely with managers to ensure the right talent is brought on board. The recruiter will focus on both immediate hiring needs and building pipelines for future demand.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruiting cycle: requisition intake, sourcing, screening, interviews, and offers.
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR to understand role requirements and deliver tailored recruiting strategies.
  • Source candidates using job boards, social media, technical networks, and professional associations.
  • Build relationships with trade schools, universities, and internship programs to expand early-career pipelines.
  • Coordinate with outside recruiting firms and headhunters for hard-to-fill positions.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience through transparent communication and timely feedback.
  • Track metrics such as time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, and candidate conversion rates to assess recruiting effectiveness.
  • Contribute to recruitment marketing by drafting compelling job postings and participating in career fairs and networking events.
  • Stay informed on industry hiring trends, salary benchmarks, and competitor practices.
  • Maintain a steady pipeline of technical talent for current and future openings.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of recruiting experience, preferably for technical roles in industries such as energy, manufacturing, or heavy equipment.
  • Strong sourcing expertise with tools like LinkedIn Recruiter and niche job boards.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to evaluate technical skills and assess cultural fit.
  • Comfortable handling multiple requisitions in a fast-paced setting.
  • Skilled with ATS/CRM systems and reporting recruitment metrics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred (equivalent experience accepted).

Nice to Have:

  • Experience partnering with field service organizations.
  • Exposure to highly specialized technical or trade positions.
  • Familiarity with industry certifications and standards.
