Job Description

What You'll Do

As a Student Success Coach at Veritas Prep High School you will work with Student Success Managers, the leadership team, teachers, counselors and staff to inspire and support a student-centered school culture that promotes academic excellence and helps students develop strong habits of success in and out of the classroom.

You’ll also:

  • Support a joyful, structured, achievement-oriented school culture based on Veritas Prep’s vision of a culture of academic achievement, ensuring the consistent implementation of key routines, rituals, and procedures throughout the school.
  • Monitor hallways during academic instruction and track student hallway data.
  • Regularly meet with the Culture Team to analyze student data and strategize around student success plans.
  • Support the implementation of culture events and celebrations.
  • Represent the Culture Team at Grade Team Meetings.
  • Monitor student behavior data to support student coaching meetings.
  • Facilitate student breaks as identified by IEPs and 504.s
  • Respond to unsafe classroom situations.
  • Monitor study hall.
  • Monitor the weight room during independent times.

Requirements

What You'll Need (Qualifications)

  • An unwavering belief that all students can achieve amazing things

  • Associate degree (bachelor's preferred)

  • Current authorization to work in the United States – a candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment

  • Fluency in Spanish (preferred)

  • Experience supporting school culture initiatives

  • Experience analyzing student behavior data and implementing tiered interventions

  • Ability to communicate effectively with teachers, staff, students, families, and other stakeholders
