Job Title : Senior Network & Security Engineer (Cisco ASA, Nexus, ISE, Cloud)
Duration: 12 Months Contract

Location: San Jose, CA (Onsite)

Top 3 Skills:

• CISCO ASA and ISE FirePower (FTD)
• CISCO Catalyst & Nexus 9xSeries (CLI and Automation) CCNP Certification
• Experience in setting up Cloud Tech (AWS, Azure GCP) on an existing Network. Hands-on experience

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Cisco technologies and advanced routing protocols, along with strong security and wireless networking expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switch infrastructures
• Implement and troubleshoot advanced routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and static routing
• Deploy and manage Meraki wireless solutions including access points, controllers, and wireless security policies
• Configure and maintain Cisco ASA firewalls and Firepower security appliances
• Implement network security policies and access controls using Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine)
• Monitor network performance and optimize traffic flow across LAN, WAN, and wireless networks
• Perform network capacity planning and scalability assessments
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide root cause analysis
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with security teams on network segmentation and compliance requirements
• Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical guidance

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies
• Expert-level knowledge of Cisco Catalyst switch configuration and management
• Proficient with Cisco Nexus data center switching platforms
• Extensive experience with routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA firewalls and Firepower security modules
• Experience deploying and managing Meraki wireless infrastructure
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices
• Experience with VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP, and QoS implementation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cisco ISE implementation and policy management experience
• Current Cisco certifications (CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, or higher)
• Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible)
• Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.)
• Experience in enterprise or service provider environments

Technical Skills:

• Cisco IOS/IOS-XE/NX-OS command line proficiency
• Network design and architecture planning
• Layer 2/3 switching and routing protocols
• Wireless networking standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax)
• Network security implementation and troubleshooting
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other core networking protocols
