As a Security Communications Specialist , you’ll be the go-to person in our communications center. You’ll oversee daily operations, lead and support your team, and make sure everything runs smoothly when it comes to safety and security. Your work will help ensure quick, coordinated responses to incidents across our hospital.
Oversee communications center operations and support your team.
Answer calls, monitor alarms, and coordinate emergency responses.
Use our Computer Assisted Dispatch (CAD) and Records Management Systems (RMS).
Train, guide, and schedule Security Communications Specialists.
Review incident reports and keep accurate records.
Work closely with hospital staff, Baltimore Police, and other partners when needed.
High school diploma (or equivalent).
Completion of entry-level security training and a 911 Emergency Response course.
Strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
Familiarity with security systems, radios, and computer-based dispatch tools.
Must be at least 21 years old, pass a background check, health screening, and random drug testing.
This is a fast-paced, high-energy role where no two days are the same. You’ll need to think quickly, handle emergencies with professionalism, and be ready to lead by example.
Salary Range: Minimum 18.59/hour - Maximum 30.69/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
