Job description:
Seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Lead to own the quality strategy, test planning, and delivery excellence for our next-generation Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) accounting capabilities. This role will lead functional and non-functional testing across multiple workstreams and vendors, ensuring secure, accurate, and reliable releases for a critical financial platform. You will partner closely with product, engineering, operations, and vendor teams to drive a culture of quality and measurable outcomes. The platform is a **SaaS DAF accounting platform**, implemented within a modular ecosystem with tight integration points to the donor experience, CRM, data, and finance systems. As QA Lead, you will shape the end-to-end test approach, modernize automation at the API/UI/data layers, and establish controls that support financial accuracy, auditability, and scale. About the Platform Our DAF accounting solution leverages a cloud-hosted, vendor-delivered SaaS application (Give Interactive) to streamline donor-advised fund lifecycle events-contributions, grants, fees, and investment activity-while improving reconciliation, reporting, and operational efficiency. The QA Lead will coordinate with the vendor, internal engineering teams, and business SMEs to validate integrations, data quality, and financial controls. Key
Responsibilities
Own the QA strategy and test plans across functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, performance, and security testing.
Define and scale automation at API/UI/data layers (e.g., Playwright/Cypress/Selenium; REST/GraphQL; SQL-based data validation).
Lead test design for complex financial use cases-contributions, grants, allocations, fees, GL postings, reconciliations, and month-end close.
Establish data quality and reconciliation controls; design golden datasets and production-mirroring scenarios for high-risk flows.
Stand up CI/CD-friendly test suites and quality gates (e.g., pipeline triggers, PR checks, smoke/regression packs).
Coordinate with the SaaS vendor on release readiness, sandbox strategy, environment refreshes, and defect SLAs.
Run defect triage and risk-based prioritization; provide clear go/no-go quality signals with metrics and business impact.
Develop UAT strategy and materials; coach business testers; formalize acceptance criteria and traceability to requirements.
Implement performance testing (baseline, load, stress) and observability of quality in production (SLIs/SLOs, error budgets).
Drive audit-ready evidence for controls, with attention to financial accuracy, compliance, and change management.
Mentor QA engineers and embed quality practices across product squads; evangelize shift-left and contract testing.
Required Qualifications
7+ years in QA/Testing for enterprise platforms; 2+ years leading QA efforts for complex programs.
Hands-on automation experience (e.g., Playwright/Cypress/Selenium) and API testing (e.g., Postman/REST-assured).
Strong SQL and data validation skills; experience testing integrations, ETL/ELT, and reconciliation workflows.
Background in financial/ledgered systems (accounting, treasury, brokerage, or payments).
Familiarity with CI/CD (Git-based workflows), test environments, and test data management.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Salesforce/Experience Cloud integrations and event-driven architectures.
Copado Robotic Testing experience preferred.
Cloud platform experience (e.g., AWS) and containerized services; performance testing tools (e.g., k6, JMeter).
BDD practices (Gherkin/Cucumber) and contract testing (e.g., Pact).
Familiarity with donor-advised funds (DAFs) and philanthropic operations.
Thanks,
Lokesh Kumar
