Job Title: Radiation Therapist I

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Therapist I to join our oncology care team. This position is responsible for accurately delivering prescribed radiation treatments, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and supporting the multidisciplinary oncology team in achieving positive patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical excellence, compassion, and a strong commitment to quality care.

• Record and maintain accurate patient medical and treatment information.

• Operate linear accelerators and associated treatment equipment for precise tumor targeting.

• Follow treatment plans as prescribed by radiation oncologists and developed in collaboration with the care team.

• Ensure safe and effective radiation administration and monitor patient responses.

• Maintain strict adherence to regulatory, clinical, and safety standards.

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

• Graduate of an accredited program in Radiation Therapy Technology.

• Oregon State License in Radiation Therapy Technology.

• ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy or eligibility to sit for the ARRT exam (must obtain certification within 6 months of hire).

• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

• High school graduate with a completed 24-month program in Radiation Therapy or a college-based equivalent.

• Up to 5 years of experience as a practicing Radiation Therapist.

• Background in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology is a plus.

• Proficiency in clinical radiation oncology techniques, including linear accelerator and electron treatments.

• Strong judgment, critical thinking, and independent decision-making abilities.

• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

• Computer literacy and ability to use radiation therapy software and office applications.

• Professional, courteous, and confidential in all patient interactions.
