Network Analyst Duties and Responsibilities:

Network Analysts play a crucial role in managing, testing, improving, and maintaining DMH’s computer network system.

Candidates should specialize in evaluating network performance and ensuring the highest level of data security.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring and analyzing network performance and reports on data input or output to detect problems.
• Identifying and remedying network faults.
• Configuring and installing various network devices and services.
• Managing system back up and data recovery.
• Performing network maintenance and system upgrades as required.
• Securing network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access.
• Collaborating with network architects to design and implement functional company networks.
• Preparing detailed network diagrams and layouts to guide setup and maintenance.
• Supporting the roll-out of new applications and systems, and aiding any necessary troubleshooting during the process.
• Keeping up-to-date with new networking technologies and making recommendations for improvements to the current network.
• Documenting network processes and changes for future reference and training purposes.

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of hardware, software, and network installation techniques.
• Exceptional ability to provide network support and resolve errors.
• Extensive experience with Inter-Network Operating Systems such as Cisco Systems and Juniper.
• Advanced knowledge of network setup and security.
• Ability to keep up with advancements in IT network technologies.
• Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Willingness to learn. 

Recommended but Not Required:

• Associate of Science degree in computer network administration or similar degree.
• 2-5 years of experience as a network analyst, or similar.
