General job duties: Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments, Ortho sets and equipment. Inspect, clean and reprocess Endoscopes manually and automated using AER. Inspect, assemble and wrap instrument trays for surgical procedures Operate autoclaves, Vpro max, AER and other sterilization equipment. Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes. Ensure proper functioning of equipment through daily, weekly and monthly routine checks and logs Assemble surgery case carts with supplies timely Retrieve supplies, stock and rotate following FIFO (first in first out) Follow AAMI, AORN, OSHA and facility specific protocols Assist with OR staff, departments, and outer clinics with sterilization needs to ensure timely readiness of sterile supplies. Follow all hospital infection control and safety standards. Stay up to date with best practices, equipment in servicing and all required education.
