Job Description

SMV Recruiting is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented General Help associate for our manufacturing client in the Syracuse area. This role involves performing various tasks to support the production process in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to adhere to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure a clean and safe work area by completing tasks like floor sweeping, waste removal, and spill cleanup
• Oversee production lines, requiring extended periods of standing, walking, and bending for 8-hour shifts or more
• Manage and operate essential packaging and filling machinery to support efficient production
• Employ scan guns and computer systems to monitor and record inventory data
• Lift, push, and pull objects up to 50 pounds as part of daily operations
• Follow all safety guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and company procedures related to assigned duties
• Perform effectively in a high-energy, fast-moving environment while maintaining quality and productivity

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with forklift experience strongly preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
• Proficiency in using scan guns, computers, and inventory management systems
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and GMPs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Forklift certification is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace
