FARM MANAGER - (Brawley, CA)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in the preparation of annual farm budgets with responsibility for implementation and management.
• Manage irrigation and tractor supervisors and employee crews as required to complete work.
• Direct and coordinate worker activities such as planting, irrigation, chemical application, assist in harvest preparation, and other related ranch projects.
• Record information such as farm management practices and operational reports.
• Monitor work activities to ensure adherence to safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.S. or M.S. in Business Ag, Agronomy, Plant Science, Horticulture, or other related agricultural field.
• Must have 5-7 years of row crop experience.
• Must have understanding of row crop cultural programs and the ability to implement these programs, including irrigation, fertility, pest control, weed control, and soil amendments.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) ability is a plus.
