Job Description:

• The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing project plans, analyzing data, and collaborating with project managers and clients to finalize proposals.
• The role requires strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, along with proven experience in construction estimation.
• Prepare detailed, accurate, and comprehensive cost estimates for new projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Thoroughly review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and project plans to understand the full scope of work and identify all cost-related factors.
• Perform precise quantity take-offs to determine the exact amount of materials and labor required for a project.
• Assist in the preparation of competitive bids and proposals, ensuring all documentation is complete and submitted by the deadline.
• Obtain and analyze quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, and negotiate with vendors to secure the best pricing for materials and services.
• Identify and assess potential risks and contingencies that could impact project costs and timelines, and factor these into the final estimate.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, clients, and other team members to clarify project requirements and present findings.
• Maintain and update a comprehensive database of historical cost data, supplier information, and market trends to inform future estimates.
