We are hiring for an entry-level position on our US Day market hours in our New York office. This position is for our high frequency team, which focuses on the release of daily and weekly financial and banking figures. The position will involve a rotating Sunday shift - working a Sunday once every four weeks. The Sunday can be worked from home, and always drops Friday from the upcoming week. Day market hours: (8:30 AM - 6:00 PM) Monday-Friday. Starting at $50k+. You would help collect, organize, and update key macroeconomic and financial figures. To ensure the validity of these government and third-party releases, quality assurance checks are run on the data and reviewed. Further tasks would involve the creation of new data series/data sets and learning how to automate processes such as web extraction and data conversion using Python, EViews, and other in-house tools. You would also learn to provide client support for our data content and proprietary software. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about important economic and financial indicators that the community of economists, strategists, and risk managers within the corporate marketplace and public sector rely on.
