Job Description

As a  Project Engineer at Perini Management Services, you will have the opportunity to:       

Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination:
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers throughout all phases of construction, including pre-construction/design phases.
  • Assist in developing project budgets, timelines, and procurement plans.
  • Review and manage design documents for constructability and distribution to client & subcontractors.
Construction Management:
  • Assist with developing and maintaining the project schedule, including monthly updates, and progress tracking.
  • Process change orders and manage scope changes between the client, subcontractors, and designers.
  • Assist in securing vendors and subcontractors.
  • Monitor costs and assist with budget management.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Coordinate with the owner and security officers for base access and ensure proper clearance.
Construction Oversight:
  • Support and oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure alignment with plans and specifications.
  • Assist in monitoring worksite safety and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Assist in the coordination of subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials and services.
Documentation & Reporting:
  • Documenting and Coordinating meetings, tracking actions, and decisions.
  • Manage submittals and RFIs.
  • Support QC inspections and ensure project quality standards are maintained.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a similar degree from an accredited institution.
  • 3 + years of project engineering experience
  • Experience with Federal Projects preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer literacy.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 and Procore
  • Willing to travel and relocate. Initial project location will be in the San Fransico area.
  • Ability to obtain an Employer-Sponsored U.S. Government Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship
