Job Title: Anesthesia Technologist
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (Potential for Extension)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Shift: Primarily 2:00 PM – 11:30 PM; Occasional rotation to 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
ASATT Certification (Anesthesia Technologist – National)
BLS/CPR Certification (Must be valid prior to start)
Perform operating room turnovers and prepare anesthesia areas for procedures
Set up and assist with invasive procedures such as:
Arterial lines
Central venous catheters
Thermodilution catheter placements
Troubleshoot and maintain anesthesia machines and related equipment
Adhere to aseptic and sterile techniques; assist with setting up sterile trays
Follow infection control standards in managing anesthesia tools and supplies
Restock anesthesia carts and order necessary supplies
Provide direct support to anesthesiologists in a high-acuity, Level 1 trauma setting
Graduate of an accredited Anesthesia Technology program
Active ASATT Certification (Required)
BLS Certification (Required)
At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
Strong knowledge of sterile technique and equipment reprocessing
Experience in a Level 1 trauma center is highly preferred
Must successfully complete a pre-employment health screening
