Praha Village , a Cassia community, is hiring an  Activities Director , to join our team in  New Prague, MN!  You will love being a part of our talented and passionate team where you will feel valued and appreciated while dedicated to making our residents feel right at home.

As an  Activities Director at Praha Village, you will manage a small team of activities professionals, plan and conduct fun and exciting activities for our residents in memory care and assisted living. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated with a genuine concern for our residents’ well-being, and has a creative personality, prior management experience, has experience working with elders, and has excellent interpersonal skills. 

Position Type:  Full-Time , benefit eligible position available working 40 hours per week and one weekend every 8 weeks.

Wage Range: $22 - $26 /hour depending on experience

Location:  1100 1st Street SE, New Prague, MN 56071 South Metro 

Director of Activities Responsibilities:

• Implement high standards in the areas of organizing and coordinating the functions of the activities department.
• On-board and monitor success of volunteers and supervise staff members. 
• Create an environment that meets the needs, wants and interests of residents, promoting all areas of group and 1-1 programming, as well as promoting desirable interaction independence.
• Drive the resident bus.
• Perform administrative functions within the facility. 
• Comply with state and federal regulations.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Director of Activities Qualifications:

• BA or BS degree in a health/human services related field preferred. 
• Experience in a therapeutic activity department preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the job.
• Is dependable and organized.
• Functional knowledge of computer hardware and software.
• Ability to respect confidentiality of resident information.
• Desire to work with the elderly in an assisted living setting.
• Ability to manage diverse individuals and multiple priorities at once.
